GIO Café – Valletta

Loved this! ⭐ In a very hot and crowded Valletta we found this sweet little Café, with lots of exciting options and the sweetest staff! I had the iced matcha latte w/ a bunch of different milk options.

Good coffee with even better seatings (both upstairs and downstairs). The team clearly thought through what their customers wanted. They have fans going all over the seating areas to make the summer temperature drop, charging ports available, as well as signs showing wifi password. They also offer a variety of raw vegan snacks. One of a kind in Valletta!

I really liked the overall aesthetic and ambience of the place. It’s cozy, welcoming, and has a nice vibe. In one of my visits, I asked if they could make me an iced chocolate, even though they normally only serve it hot. The barista was accommodating and made one anyway and wow, it was so good! Smooth, rich, and perfectly chilled. Great service, great drinks!

This coffee shop is 10/10. Food and drinks are of high quality and service is exceptional. We were greeted with a smile and serving of the food and drinks was fast. Interior of the place is sooo cozy so if you’re looking for a coffee shop to spend a quiet afternoon to relax and catchup with your friends, partner or family, this is the place for you! Will definitely come back.

Stopped by GIO Café in Valletta and had a great experience! I tried the cake of the day, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and a perfect treat. The coffee was also very good, making for a great pairing. One thing to note is that you place your order upstairs, where they have a beautiful display of cakes, croissants, and other pastries. If you prefer to sit inside, you need to exit and go downstairs to the indoor seating area. It’s a unique setup, but everything is well-organised and easy to navigate. The café itself has a nice, cozy vibe, and the staff were friendly and efficient. It’s a great spot whether you’re looking for a quick coffee break or a relaxing place to enjoy a sweet treat. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their selection! I’m also attaching some photos and videos to this review because the presentation of the cakes and pastries is amazing. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Valletta!

Downtown Valetta, but not in the too commercial part (you know what I mean). Super chill atmosphere, all coffees are dealt with care, but ... I'ld suggest to order the iced latte (either one)! You can sit semi in/out if you're alone (and watch people passing by ), or sit downstairs and get some work done, some seperat and quiet zones, bright, energy plugs ... If I return to Malta/Valetta, this would be my regular place.
